DEPARTMENT OF PHARMACEUTICAL SCIENCES AND THE NU-AAPS STUDENT CHAPTER
2012 PHARM SCI RESEARCH SHOWCASE
Call for Poster Abstracts
Dear Pharm Sci faculty, post-doctoral fellows, and graduate students:
The annual Pharm Sci Research Showcase is scheduled on Friday, May 11th in 140 The Fenway. The NU-AAPS student chapter is delighted to have an opportunity to organize a research poster session for all post-doctoral fellows and graduate students (Masters and PhD) to participate.
The Research showcase event will include short presentations for director of each research center, several faculty members as well as some PhD students from our department. The highlight of the day would be a keynote address from Dr. Una Ryan, CEO of Diagnostics For All and Research Professor of Medicine at Boston University School of Medicine.
If you are interested in presenting a poster at the event, please send an email to Ms. Rosalee Robinson (r.robinson@neu.edu), with the following information by April 20th.
1. A word file with the title, author list, and a short abstract of the work. The title of your abstract should be in bold with name(s) of all presenters. Please use Times New Roman, font size 12.
2. The abstract should be no more than 250 words in length with one figure and a suitable legend. The figure legend will not count towards the 250 word count limit. However, please limit the abstract to one page.
3. The authors and their corresponding addresses should be clearly listed.
4. Abstracts that do not satisfy the above requirements will be sent back for correction.
Additional information:
You may reuse the posters already presented at other meetings this year including NU Research Expo. Please make sure that you submit the same by April 20th to allow sufficient time for us to process the abstract booklet and set up of enough poster display boards. Additional information about the 2012 Pharm Sci research Showcase will be forthcoming.
If you have any questions regarding poster session or NU-AAPS chapter, feel free to contact Malav Trivedi- trivedi.ma@neu.edu.
Best Regards,
Malav s. Trivedi,
Secretary, NU-AAPS Student chapter.

NERDG ANNUAL MEETING 2012 - CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
All pharmaceutical research related topics are welcome. There are 3 forums to present your work:
1. Short Topic Presentation (STP)
The Short Topic Presentation forum is open to all NERDG participants. The forum is designed to provide opportunity for participants to present their research in a small and interactive setting. Each STP session is a podium presentation 20 minutes long including answering questions. Abstract submission closing date is March 1st, 2012.
2. Academic Research Award Podium Presentation (ARA) [for students only]
The Academic Research Awards (three monetary prizes) are specifically designed as opportunities for students to present their research work.
